after i saw jay smooth leave a comment on the blog, i figured he deserves more love. here, he voices his opinion on ludacris’ obama-inspired track that left everybody scratching their heads. and not in a good way! word on the street is, even obama has distanced himself from luda. goodness.
well spoken, jay. here’s the track for those who haven’t heard it:

download: ludacris - politics as usual
i feel like hip hop supporting barack is only the power move when everybody’s on the same page. positive, uplifiting music, like that celebrity-studded will.i.am video, works. DMX proudly stating he has no idea who barack obama is and thinks his name sounds ridiculous does not. some PR firms need to quickly run to the aid of both luda and obama, so mccain can’t use it as fuel for his campaign.

wiz khalifa - star power. best trunk music. ever.
the native soul - an evolution. it's $ulaiman of blind i. rapping!

Like if i ran for president, no one would ever try to say my name:
Enoghene Ajueyitsi.
Right?
LOL.
I rep Obama
Everyone that has any “alliance” with Obama at all, should be tied up and thrown into a cave. They should all be placed in there with plenty of food and water but no access to the rest of the world (ESPECIALLY to the media), and they should be allowed to come out of the cave and back into society until AFTER the election, when Barack is president.
But until that happens, EVERYONE just needs to shut the fuck up and let this man do his thing and win the presidency!!!!
That was the best thing I’ve seen all day. I’m disappointed in Ludacris although I don’t think the song is as bad as it’s portrayed in the media. Wasn’t he the first rapper Oprah let on her show?! Even if it was for his role in Crash she let him on, he could’ve opened the door for others. BUT he just confirmed everything she and people like her thinks about rappers and rap music.
