yea, i said it.
i’m from that generation. where you waited every like two weeks to see what fire disney decided to throw your way in the form of TV movies. i remember every single joint, from smart house to zenon. i think jett jackson even had a full-length feature for silverstone, too. but he never really did it for me.
my personal favorites? i’m going with either brink or johnny tsunami. i’m that black guy who liked extreme sports but never got deep into them, although my man ben privot tried to get me involved. i used to skate at his house, and i could only do one grind. damn.
what was the best made-for-tv disney movie ever? (for a list, go here. that way, you can make a good decision and not come with weaksauce.)
oh, and a little teen witch treat for young kyra.
top that.
That’s a hard one. I’d say it’s a three way tie between: Smart House, the first Zenon movie, and Johnny Tsunami.
WHAT!?
there was a johnny tsunami sequel?!

WHAT!?
I’m gonna have to go with don’t look under the bed, the other me, and smart house. TV ain’t what it used to be. This generation missed some classics. How about worst ones? That up up and away was an air ball to me, could have been done better.
the best movies came out when they were still called “disney channel premiere films” and not “disney channel original movies”. So the best one is definitely Teen Witch.
Brink hands down was the best. then came up, up and away, and last that one when that boy turns into a merman on his birthday.
jett jackson aka sliverstone was the man also.
teen witch was vicious. luck of the irish was just weird. i try to avoid everything irish. not because i’m racist or anything, but because that green is scary at times. but i came to boston. so i didn’t do a good job of avoiding it at all. and now i love green. not drugs, silly. the color. so i guess i’ve just nullified my entire statement.
i should go study.
Absolute favorite was the Jett Jackson movie. I kind of dug Get A Clue (before Lindsay Lohan went Hollyweird).
I definitely got down with Zenon, but not the Zequel (yes they spelled it with a Z). And how can I forget P.U.N.K.S? Y’all remember that one with a young Jessica Alba?
Honorable mention to Tru Confessions and the Color of Friendship lol.
teen witch. top that.
thats impossible to answer, disney provided too many hits.
i just saw “up, up & away” like 2 weeks ago.
Johnny Tsunami was always a fave of mine…possibly because people thought I looked like him??
But they got this new heater called Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior!
I still remember the anticipation behind Zenon girl of the 21st century. And the songs. Therefore it wins.
Color of Friendship was good too but I am a little bothered by the fact they use the South African version of the N word freely in a Disney movie.
Susie Q scarred me for life. I’m still disturbed by that.
my fav has to be between Stepsister From Plant Weird, and Dont Look Under the Bed
Brink was literally my favorite movie for like 3 to 4 years… Of course all Jett Jackson Projects were approved I’m still gonna be silverstone when I grow up… Plus, there has not been sufficient mention of the Even Stevens Movie, which was great.
OMG than you are the absolute best for adding that teen witch scene.
Johnny Tsunami all day! Best Disney Channel movie ever!
SUSIE Q WAS THE BEST DISNEY MOVIE!
of all the movies my top three sre tru conffesions, zenon, and color of friendship.all of you that think they suck are realy weird!!!
gotta go w/johnny tsunami and zenon (that song “supernova girl” was the ish!)
Either smart house or tru confessions. I am a little biased since I have a sister with down syndrome though. Also get a clue was good.
What about “MY DATE WITH THE PRESIDENT’S DAUGHTER” anyone? Single-handedly the greatest Disney Channel Original Movie ever, and a killer theme-song to boot! Not to mention Will Friedle from Boy Meets World fame!
