He’s around. Touring on the East Coast mostly. what i was gonna ask was, why did they shelve love 4 sale? it was too crucial. i actually like the first joint more, but still? why would they shelve it!?

didn’t know it was bilal on that sa-ra track. makes sense now tho.
he sure picks all the right songs to grace his presence with. “nightmares” was an instant classic.

bilal was on interscope. interscope for some insane reason thinks everything they put out should go platinum, which is totally unrealistic. usually they’re looking for a hit single that interests jimmy iovine or else you’re getting shelved. if i recall, even eminem’s second album wasn’t getting a release date till jimmy heard that ‘the real slim shady’, which is absurd considering that dude was coming off a triple platinum album and his second record would have sold without a single at all. LOL.

(just for proof, according to wikipedia, the real slim shady was released a week before the album dropped and it flew off the shelves…at that point eminem could have whistled in a tin can and sold a million records. see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Real_Slim_Shady

but anywho…yeah, bilal was on the wrong label for trying anything avant garde. as if there are any labels for that still around (maybe blue note?).

bilal will be fine though. common always holds him down with a cameo slot and industry big wigs like dr. dre are huge fans. dude will always get his off. he has a great song on 88 Keys upcoming Death of Adam album called m.i.l.f.

rumor has it was shelved because of the leak, stating that the core fanbase already has it for free. Bilal’s myspace page had a blog asking his true fans not to download it or it will prohibit an actually release. i’ll linked up for you. as a bonus i throw on “get rich or die trying” “bring 2 (from the wash soundtrack)” “high and dry (from the radiohead cover project)” and cut corners (a “freestyle over a nottz beat @ Beat Society in DC)

Yeah man .. Love 4 Sale got leaked like crazy. I remember gettin it super duper early as well. It does suck ,cus it was a crazy nice album , i blasted it and couldnt wait for it to actually drop. Then i saw his message about the leak. I think he;s either refining things or just making a new album. Kinda sucks that his own fans ended up slowing the process of the release , but deep inside he should know that people just could’nt wait for that good ass musik.

I JUST SEEN THIS DUDE ABOUT A MONTH AGO 12/22/09 @ THE RED JAZZ CAFE IN HOUSTON,TX BURNIN DA ROOF OFF…… I HAD NVR REALLY JUST LISTEN TO THIS CAT B4 BUT UMMM YEAH THIS DUDE WAS PUTTIN IT DOWN….
