apparently, the washington wizards (seemingly permanently injured with a trick leg that’s cost us the playoffs year after year after year) guard is crazy in love with barack obama. so crazy, in fact, that he’s tat-tat-tatted up with obama. and more. i caught this story over at sportaphile:
Every since Tuesday’s historical election, the U.S.A. has been running wild with over 50 million Obamamaniacs and Gilbert Arenas of the Washington Wizards may be the biggest one. Not only did Gilbert get Obama inspired tattoos, he’s also getting a mural at his home. SportsByBrooks has the goods:
“Arenas has decided to show his permanent support of President-elect Barack Obama with a tattoo. Arenas had the words “Change We Believe In” tattooed onto the fingers of his left hand in cursive writing. Then, Gilbert showed the outside of his pinky finger, which had “44? inked on it.
Arenas has gone all out for Obama, adding that he hired an artist last week to paint a mural with Obama’s family on one side and Arenas’s fiancee and children on another side of a wall in Arenas’s house. “He united people,” Arenas said of Obama. “By him winning, it showed the world that we’re not as racist as people think we are. I think that’s the beauty of [the election]. Not just because he’s the first African American president. America is not as bad as people think we are.””
Now… I’m a Barack Obama fan like most of you out there… but this is just a little “extra extra” in my opinion. Just think if you saw a few rednecks in Kentucky with George Bush tattoos and Dubya painted on the side of their barn… you’d probably say “these right wing jesus freak hicks are fanatical”.
now is that crazy or what!? and LOL at the picture. oh my goodness. and i HEARD the bamma was claiming he wasn’t voting for barack cuz he was down to raise taxes! somebody fact check that for me! we need to re-evaluate gilbert’s mental state. i think he’s ventured beyond normal, and is now stomping his size 12 reebok gil-zero’s around in the land of insanity. i’m just saying though. he needs to get his team in the right mindset…the wizards are the worst in the league with a woeful 0-6 start for the season. and those are my boys, but cot’ damn. we need a new day! gil has lost my respect until he: a. gets back on the damn court and fries people like he did kobe back in ‘06 or b. removes the tattoos and rips down the stupid mural in his house. that’s just me. call me a hater. i used to love him like common used to love H.E.R. but now i can’t fade it.

yerp. so when i get that nice little condo on 18th and U after graduation, i can go dap him up when i feel like seeing what he’s got in the white house. and yo, i heard a spoken word poet on BET say something crazy. she was like, “michelle [obama], were you ready for all this when you picked up your purse and met him at the door for your first date?” something like that, anyway. it was one of those mindblowing statements that makes you realize how far everybody involved in this campaign has come, and how much they’ve developed. congrats to him and biden.
i bet you obama’s kids go to my high school like chelsea clinton did. just watch.
touching. actually made me shed a tear or two toward the end. the obama campaign’s emotional appeal is so sincere! snatched from my man g5 clive. and i voted yesterday morning, by the way.
some neo-nazis out in tennessee were arrested for planning a mass murder at one of barack’s next speeches. good god. luckily, the ATF was on their sh!t, and these guys will be spending their last days rotting in a jail cell somewhere. read the entire story here.
in other news, i recently came back from time traveling (no you’re not reading this wrong.) to fix a major crisis i accidentally caused around election time. i was just trying to see what my final grade in my feature writing class was going to be, but i got caught up, and consequently messed up barack’s whole campaign. check the video below, man.

general colin powell breaks down his reasoning for endorsing barack “barry from soul train” obama. very logical thought process if you ask me. he kinda got rocked, because he already donated money to the mccain campaign, but still. FYI: around 4:35 he raises an excellent point about barack’s supposed muslim ties, and 8:45 he tackles a question about blacks voting for blacks because they’re…black. interesting responses throughout.
my question to you all: how big of a move is this that colin powell has come out, 2 weeks before the election, to co-sign young barry obama? huge? minimal? do you even care!? and do you mind if i throw that clip of barry on soul train back up? thanks.

i went to columbus, georgia on saturday, and i’ve never seen so much obama support. at a college football game, i saw a stand selling around 100 unique obama shirts.
think about that. 100 different designs of shirts that support obama. why does obama get so much love!? do people even know what he is capable of? do they just dislike john mccain that much? do they think he can change the world? or are they doing it because he’s black!? think about that. while you watch these videos.

need to know if you made the deadline for voter registration? can i vote tells you whether or not you’re registered yet. it’s easy for those not so politically inclined, i promise. i logged on to can i vote, and to my surprise (literally) i was already registered to vote in the state of maryland. i put my brother’s information in, however, and saw that his sucker self hadn’t gone through the proper steps to get himself registered. that’s why the site is amazing.
