DC fab is the hookup on the local scene. if i want to know where to go in the DMV area, i hit my homie joi-marie up and she puts me on where i should go. her site is one of many, collectively known as the fab empire. check them out to see if they cover your city.

these fabulous, sexy girls of DC fab have just reached their 1st anniversary, and to celebrate this joyous occasion, they’re running the DC metropolitan area from tonight until sunday. check the flyer below for all the details.

spread the word. oh, and i heard ladies get in for free before 11 or something like that. i don’t know exactly, you’ll have to hit DC fab for all that, plus that secret location on friday!!! see you there. they told me they’d buy me drinks all night if i put this up, so i’m definitely going. lol.

i’m putting this up again because it was overlooked, and because the dc music scene is insane right about now. bubbling in a pot, brewing and stuff, young. trust me.

shout out to young nando mcflyy who made it on the myspace monday segment of 95.5 last night. even bigger shout out to quinn, who hooked it all up. more on this later.

my homies over @ DC fab told me that DC’s premier go-go band, mambo sauce, celebrated their video’s acceptance into the VH1 soul rotation. i’m pretty sure it’s on MTV2 and probably MTV jams. only a matter of time til it hits TRL. oh boy.

pretty huge move for DC, honestly. almost as big as when ludacris performed pimpin’ all over the world with a go-go band on one of those award shows, or as when lil jon came out with that go-go record with funk flexx on that crunk juice album. it adds that visual to the entire scene.

we through the remix up (featuring tabi, wale, and more) lightyears ago on the old blog, so if you want it, hit me. too lazy to throw it up right now. i did get that video though. low budget, but incredible. don’t just watch, though. listen to what they’re saying in the verses. one of the rare go-go songs with some potent, original lyrics.

that’s how i feel. completely. it’s dark, you never seen him/her before outside this environment, and honestly, unless you all have mutual friends, and you know the person is sane, you could get rocked unknowingly after a few drinks. like paris did.
