concrete loop reports that N*E*R*D’s frontman was posted at the riviera zushi marina in kanagawa, japan, performing with the group for MTV vibrations ‘08. he looks half-asian there with that dirt lip mustache, so he must have felt at home.
i had to dig into the archives and grab one of his best verses. “high rollers,” off his gangsta grillz mixtape. who said the man can’t rap, anyway?

i just had an amazing interview session for a feature writing course, and was inspired to re-up this. while reviewing my notes, i came across a critical tactic in the art of interviewing: impress your interviewee with a knowledge of facts. in other words, show them you’ve done your homework.
well my man nardwuar takes this tidbit to heart. just watch. around 1:39 it gets crazy, and at 1:55, you will laugh. very hard.

for real. i’m calling it now. they’re going gold. i just bought it on itunes, and 2 hard copies from best buy. with a gift certificate. so i’m not crazy. but just scoop it. and buy the wayne, too. it’s also great. but i’m putting the brain up for more N*E*R*D support.

it’s a bit late, but me and the homies hit up commonwealth dc this past friday for an intense N*E*R*D album listening session. they played the entire thing, and then threw some oldies but goodies in there too. shout out to everybody who came through, including that dude dizzy, who went out of his way to get me a heineken! ice cold like andre 3 stacks was talking about in “hey ya!“ good grief. talk about dmv hospitality. he even said he reads the blog, so at least we got one celebrity reader.
now, i know we aren’t celebs or anything, but with keba and her super touch screen sony digicam, and sean’s HUGE camera that i’m sure the cameramen on “the real world” use, we set it up so that everybody there thought we were important. truth be told, sean and my man austin were shooting a low budget music video around the area, and they just so happened to be in the area. sean was like, “let’s just start shooting,” and you know me. down for whatever. so we went with it. we ran into the biggest N*E*R*D fan i’ve ever met in my life (she kept her ticket stubs from N*E*R*D concerts dating back to like ‘04 in her wallet. she wins by default). she came from bristol, VA (if i remember correctly) to hear that entire album. she also came SOLO! i had to dap her up for that. on camera. so me and sean talked to her for like a good 5 minutes and came out with some hilarious footage that will be on the site soon.
everybody was watching us like we were famous, and it was great. anyway, enjoy the pics below, courtesy of young keba.
and those gourmet joints are the wettest sneakers out. contrary to popular belief, i only have three pairs of shoes, and i don’t go out the house partially because of that reason. somebody bless me with a goodwill/salvation army drop. immediately.

DCtoBC.com blesses the world with another crucial joint. i don’t even care that all i blog about right now is N*E*R*D. i’m trying to do my duty as a star trak trooper and loyal fan to push their fan base up to the roof. and honestly, this could be one of the greatest “unreleased” tracks they have. it’s INSANE! why didn’t think make the album!? you may have heard the snippet, but this joint is the full version. the real deal, holyfield.

don’t even think about tryna change that album art or zshare link. we dropped it first. per usual. we means really just me. HUGE shout out to nick simmons, he threw me the oop and i threw it down like shaq circa ‘96. and go celtics. apparently, if they win, i will see the sunshine of california. 
oh and huge shout out to cmonwealth, they had the crucial listening session for this seeing sounds joint, and gave away a lot of cool promo stuff, on top of free food and drink. and you know i eat that stuff up like scooby snacks.
buy the album on TUESDAY. i buy two of everything i really like. this may get 3 or 4 copies. and i’ll ride through the hood, throwing them out like jeezy and shawty lo do turkeys and cash in their neighborhoods.
and i still think that they need to re-do that ’spaz” joint with those indian noises they used in the live version. i swear i saw a dude at the cmonwealth party hitting ‘em with that signature spaz dance. it looks like this:

it leaked. and b. trotter hooked me up at 2 am in the AM. except pretty much all of mo county lost power after that tornado. nas vegas still is powerless in silver spring, similar to how whoever was in sleepless in seattle was sleepless in seattle. so i didn’t hear it until 8 this morning. i’m a little blown it leaked this early, and i hope they recoup these album sales somehow. i’m purchasing. will you?!
it’s ok. i think it’s the worst out of the three so far though. but i’m only 3 hours in, playback-wise. it’ll probably grow on me like. i hope this leaked version is missing tracks, though. the key to the second album was those hidden joints that weren’t listed on the album cover. if there are no more tracks, i’ll be slightly blown. all the joints i heard live in concert may or may not be the best joints on the album. and they threw us pretty much all the hip-hop influenced tracks early, probably so that community wouldn’t excommunicate them like they usually do.
holler if you wanna hear it. but buy it on the 10th. and d’wayne’s joint as well.
