cory gunz, mickey factz, and charles hamilton cypher [video]!

cory gunz sounds like a little wayne with less drugs in his system, but a more demented mind. charles actually went off the top, but i’m not sure about the other guys. mickey keeps it thorough. i saw him perform live once in brooklyn, and he was kinda nice with it.

who do you think rocked this the hardest?

devlin & dogzilla - practice hours.

some more grime music for you. a throwback for those who know me, but since there’s about 30,000 new people that come here weekly, i figure it won’t hurt to put you all on to this old gem.

whose better, devlin (the younger guy) or dogzilla? and after you figure out that, let me know if you think the better of the two could beat asher roth. yes, it’s because their white. regardless, i want to know what you think. these british guys aren’t ever gonna stop spitting, so major labels! get some more dizzee rascals on your labels!

blackberry storm footage!

we all broke out here, but can’t we escape via youtube videos of gadgets we wish we could afford?

oh boy. how do people feel about this bad boy!? iPhone killer? not worth your time? that touch screen looks a liiiittle slum to me…but that’s just me.

squarepusher - planet gear [video].

to my space aliens who can appreciate this stuff. hit me, i have more squarepusher for you. and don’t you wish your visualizer in iTunes was this crazy!?

coldplay feat. jay-z - lost remix [video].

no time to give you substance, so just enjoy these videos. and look out for the new coldplay EP coming soon. one of the songs off the last album made a single tear drop from my eye! goodness.

young jeezy - crazy world [video].

i think this may be the hardest joint on the entire album.

tabi bonney - you.

nah, this joint isn’t new. in fact, it’s from ‘06 or so. he has a video for it. and it’s below. but i wanted to let people see it, because not that many people ever caught it on MTV jams like i did back in the day. and this is how i feel right about now.

i was talking to somebody about having a soundtrack to my life, you know? like you walk around, and music related to the situation just starts playing. it beats an iPod, because you don’t have to search. it’s just exactly what needs to be played at that very moment. maybe i’ll work on developing that technology soon. but for now, just look out for my compilation mix joints. it’s the next best thing that i can offer.

if you liked the song, here it is.

fear and loathing in new york. again.

nyc summer, man. got so cold, i HAD to re-up. funniest clip of all time. internet goon, wzup! catch shawn and darrell, aka the brothers grimm, creeping up in the background.

the carps - heaven’s gates & hell’s flames [redux] [feat. the cool kids].

the first time i heard the carps was on my man lo’s love unlocked compilation mixtape he dropped last month. they’re a duo from canada that makes some vicious rock-esque music, and i’m down with it. the beat is ridiculous. if you heard just the instrumental, you’d think it was something from kanye’s new album. the cool kids add one of their more potent verses on this redux of "heaven’s gates & hell’s flames," too.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 6 or above) is required to play this audio clip. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

DL: the carps - heaven’s gates & hell’s flames (redux) (feat. the cool kids)

my man seun threw me a video of their track “from compton to scarsboro,” and it’s pretty awesome. partially because I’M IN IT. yerp, around :45, listen and watch closely. you may just hear my name.

i just picked up all their music, so if you like what you hear, e-mail me and i’ll send you some more. it’s not free, so i can’t put it up (or the RIAA will rock me). but if you holler, i’ll throw it your way.

bo yo knows.

yup. bo yo knows. simple as that. this massachusetts-bred rapper/folk artist/whatever the blood you wanna call him is the new power move maker. he’s slick and witty, and has bars for days! is it a joke? probably. is he nice!? hell yes! he can play instruments like a monster. shout out to marlon for putting me on. watch these joints.

did he just do that all in one take!? he’s great. hilarious. creative. insightful. kind of. and is he the same dude who made the free credit report songs? somebody let me know.

dom kennedy feat. carter and pacific division - everybody knows us [video].

saw this over @ my boy ges‘ site today. good grief, this is the illest thing of the day. made me happy for some reason. they rock it on that everybody nose bridge that curren$y killed on this track. i’m just glad people realized that those N*E*R*D bridges make all their songs about 30 times sweeter. but yo, don’t think the rappers don’t each murder their verses! dom hits ‘em with that 1-2, pacific division holds down the middle section, and carter wrecks the last verse. it’s wild.

they are throwing some subliminal and not-so-subliminal jabs out there! listen closely, and somebody find me some more music from that dude carter!!!

jim jones’ hip hop monologues.

you never thought you’d see jimmy jones in a play/musical hybrid, did you. well, look no further. and word on the street is, he’s been working HARD, and it’s GREAT. check it out.

shout out to my man aris and his team, by any means, who have been working diligently to make sure the show is a success. i’m sure it will be, and i just wish i was in NYC to see it all happen. also, look out for jimmy on a slew of remixes of your favorite songs. or songs that should be your favorites. yerp.

PREVIOUSLY: jim jones feat. MGMT - electric feel (remix)

michael jackson - moonwalker [HD quality].

i kid you not. the entire joint is in DCtoBC’s patented HD (hella dope) quality. you know you’ve been looking for this for a few years.

includes everything from the live concert scenes to the part where he runs away from the crazy fans and battles the rabbit to the actual movie. a classic. i invite you to relive your childhood here for the next 88 minutes. spread the word, please.

tyra talks about people who hate their own race!

this is crazy! marcel was watching this in the room, and i dissed it. then i came over and started watching too. and tyra sucks when she imitates other people, or does her voices or whatever. but her staff that develops her actual programming for the show is incredible. this is crazy. the first girl is black, but she hates black people. and thinks she’s white. you need to watch.

i’m saying it again. THE FIRST GIRL IS INSANE! as are the rest of them!

kanye’s inspiration for the “heartless” video.

my homie kate sent this over. it’s obvious that kanye’s new video for his joint "heartless" was very cleverly crafted, but how did it all come to fruition? the answer: israeli-american animator ralph bakshi, super video director hype williams, and a whole lotta brainstorming. read the story here.

and in case you missed the post on the video last week, here it is again. crucial.
